Bottles & Cans
Some of the rooms have black bins from www.bottlesandcans.com, which are emptied every 2-3 days. Also, in the MPR by the teacher's lounge are two more bins, which are monitored for fullness. If you prefer, you can drop the cans by the flagpole or the marquee (morning drop off only please!) in plastic bags. Please try to make sure the aluminum beverage cans are clean so as not to attract ants and be a mess when going to trade them in for cash. Only items with CRV, so no wine bottles, no plastic milk containers, no tin cans or empty shampoo containers, as they do not count as recyclable for money as we are doing.

Toner & Ink Cartridges
At Staples, you can recycle ANY ink cartridge — no matter which brand! This includes Brother®, Epson®, HP® and Canon ink or toner cartridges, up to 10 per calendar month per customer, and receive $3 back in Staples Rewards per cartridge. Staples will recycle additional cartridges but rewards will only be issued for 10 per calendar month per customer. If you would like to donate your Staples Reward Certificate to Del Cerro's PTA, Please provide Abby LeBoff, our Ink & Toner Recycling Chair with your Staples Rewards account number. She can take all the cartridges in along with a list of rewards account numbers so that she can turn in more than 10 cartridges at a time and each account gets the credit. We will use rewards certificates to help supplement our yellow copy paper. You can turn in toner or ink cartridges directly to staples or turn them into PTA. Please turn in Staples Reward Certificates to Abby's folder in the PTA file cabinet.
